International entry requirements

International Application steps

TEDI-London accepts a range of international qualifications for direct entry to our Global Design Engineering BEng/MEng. Find out what applies for you and see our step-by-step guide of what to expect:

  1. Check your qualification requirements

We accept a range of international qualifications and do not require subject-specific requirements such as needing to study high school Maths.

Qualifications currently accepted for direct entry onto our programme are listed below by country.  If a particular qualification or foundation programme is not listed, please contact admissions@tedi-london.ac.uk and request an assessment of that qualification.

Students who do not have at least a level 5 in GCSE English are required to study IELTS Academic. A minimum score of 6.5 overall with no less than a 6 in any section is needed.

  2. Submit your application

You can apply to us either through UCAS or directly. Once we receive an application, we will review it to assess what steps are appropriate for you.

In your application we will be looking for an interest in our area of study, Design Engineering or Engineering, but as we know you could be applying to multiple universities we do not require this to be specifically about Global Design Engineering.

  3. Attend an online interview

Next, you’ll be invited to an online interview with a member of our academic team to talk through your educational background, skills and motivation for studying engineering.

  4. Confirmation of offer

We will be in touch to confirm your offer to study at TEDI-London.

  5. Complete a numeracy test

Applicants who have not studied Maths at a higher level (i.e an A level or Level 3 BTEC) will be invited to take our maths refresher programme to ensure their skills are up to date before the start of term.

Foundation entry

Where we do not accept a qualification for direct entry to our programme, we have partnered with UNSW Sydney to give students access to the UNSW Transition Program Online. This online foundation course will help students to develop the practical skills and confidence needed to thrive at university in just four months, all from the comfort of their home

TEDI-London also accepts applications from those who have studied a UK foundation programme that is at least equivalent to a UK RQF Level 3 qualification. Please contact admissions@tedi-london.ac.uk with details of your qualification to find out if it is suitable.
