Dr Lam Cheah is an Associate Professor at TEDI-London. He has received both MEng (Hons) and PhD degrees in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Hull, UK.
He is a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and affiliated with IoT & Healthcare Technologies Networks. Before joining TEDI-London, he worked as an Engineering Programme Leader at ONCAMPUS Hull University, where he led and managed Engineering pathway programmes. He has a track record of team management, operational leadership, and as well as teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Prior to that, Lam was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Hull working on multidisciplinary projects and collaborated with NHS clinicians, computer scientists and industry partners. His research activities focused on the development of wearable and wireless assistive technologies, multimodal sensing and data fusion, and as well as the implementation of human-computer interfaces for people with speech impairments.
