Gone in 60 seconds

ACTIVITY SCENARIO

The aim is to get the marble to run for exactly 60 seconds. As soon as you can test part of the marble run, do so. Note the time and keep adding parts until you are as close to 60 seconds as possible. Once you are there, gather an audience to come and see what you have made!

Have you ever watched someone ski down a mountain? If not, watch this short video!

You’ll notice that the safest way down the mountain is to cut across it so that more distance is covered by the skier as they descend.

This fantastic task is based on slowing down the way a marble runs from a high point to a low point. You’ll get the chance to be as creative as possible so that your marble will move down the track in the most exciting of ways.
