Teaching Assistant

Thomas Lawley

Thomas Lawley is a designer, maker and educator from New Zealand. Prior to becoming a Teaching Assistant at TEDI London, Thomas was designing and building a Treehouse in New Zealand which was awarded Small Home of the Year.

Thomas enjoys diverse ways of working, having taken Higher Education courses in both Fine Arts and Engineering. He has exhibited as an artist across New Zealand Australia and Asia and believes that creativity is key for addressing the challenges presented in the UN sustainability goals.

Thomas has been in teaching roles since being a student and stated his career teaching in community makerspace environments. He hopes to bring his passion for making and hands on learning into his role as Teaching Assistant at TEDI London.

Thomas also loves opensource tools such as Arduino, Processing and IoT devices and using them is his creative practice.
